Isle of the Ships

In Celtic, Kelsey means "isle of the ships." These are my musings and things that inspire me.

Live in the sunshine
Swim in the sea
Drink the wild air

So a while back I went to the salon and had my hair dyed dark blonde.  Unfortunately, because my hair was light blonde to begin with, it turned brassy and red after dying it. The color faded so quickly. It was driving me nuts!! So I took things into my own hands, did some research and spent an hour standing in the hair color aisle at the Shoppers Drugmart.   During my research I learned that: 1) for people with long hair, you should purchase 2 boxes of color to make sure that you don’t run out; 2) if you want to go “golden”, buy one box with “golden” and one with “natural” in order to avoid ending up red (nothing wrong with red, just not for me); 3) stick to natural sounding colors.  This video from BeautyEditor.ca was really helpful! I ended up using Clairol Nice N’ Easy in 116 (Natural Light Brown) and 116A (Natural Light Golden Brown) I was pretty happy with the result and if I wasn’t planning on going back to blonde (what can I say, I’m a blonde at heart), I would definitely DIY my hair again!!

Opening scene of “Midnight in Paris” - let’s go to Paris!

Apparently Marlon Brando made the t-shirt “cool” when he played Stanley Kowalski in a “Streetcar Named Desire”… stud… but for some reason now whenever I think about Stan Kowalski I envision Cam from Modern Family - “Steellllaaaa, Stellaaaaaaaaaa”
